OUR WORK
Redefining Access to Spinal Health
We at The Spine Foundation envision a world where spinal health is a right and not a privilege. Spinal problems are amongst the highest causes of disability globally, often worsened by limited access to low-cost health care. This is what we set out to change: deliver top-notch spinal care to communities in need so that everyone can lead a healthy life.
We look forward to covering distances by taking specialized spinal care to the furthest corners of the globe. Be it metropolitan cities or far-flung villages, our services are bespoke to suit each community’s requirements. Much emphasis is laid on early diagnosis and effective treatment of disorders related to the spine.

How We Make a Difference
At The Spine Foundation, we are committed to improving spinal health across urban and rural communities through the following services:
Care & Treatment
We diagnose and treat a variety of spine conditions through our outpatient clinics, offering physical therapy, advanced surgeries—including minimally invasive procedures—and complex deformity corrections.
Recovery & Training
Our rehabilitation programs help patients regain mobility and quality of life post-treatment. We also train healthcare professionals through fellowships and workshops, who raise awareness and expand access to spinal care.
Community Outreach
We bring spine care to the doorstep of underserved urban populations and extend basic services to the remotest villages through our weekly medical camps. Our Rural Spine Care Centers and online consultation services allow us to reach even the most inaccessible areas.
Creating Lasting Impact
Our work extends far beyond medical camps; we go a step further to ensure that sustainable health solutions are created for the long-term benefit of society. That is why, at The Spine Foundation, we focus on training local health professionals and strengthening regional healthcare systems, ensuring that the benefits of our efforts endure. We aim to leave behind a legacy of health that extends well beyond our direct involvement.
The Spine Foundation works tirelessly to build a healthier tomorrow through education, advocacy, and the integration of advanced medical practices. Our goal is to reduce spinal disorders worldwide and improve lives by providing individuals with the knowledge and resources they need.
Expanding Access to Spinal Care
Spinal problems are a leading cause of disability worldwide, often worsened by limited access to affordable healthcare. At The Spine Foundation, our goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of location, has access to high-quality spinal care services. Our vision transcends city limits and state boundaries to reach underserved populations, and we tailor our services to meet the unique challenges of each community, whether urban or rural. With a strong focus on diagnosing and treating spinal issues, we aim to improve the lives of underprivileged individuals who are most affected.
The Spine Foundation is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of spine experts. Our Fellowship Program serves as a stepping stone for future leaders in spine surgery. This intensive three-year program offers specialized training to postgraduate orthopedic surgeons, under the mentorship of some of the most experienced professionals in the field. Fellows gain hands-on experience with a wide range of spine surgeries through direct interaction with specialists at top hospitals in Mumbai. Throughout this immersive experience, fellows refine their surgical techniques, develop leadership qualities, and gain a deep understanding of the latest advancements in spinal healthcare.
However, we go beyond technical expertise. Our program emphasizes ethical and holistic patient care, instilling integrity and a strong sense of responsibility toward the communities they serve. Fellows learn modern techniques and gain confidence in treating various spinal disorders with the aid of simulations. Moreover, they develop a deep understanding of the needs of underserved populations. The Spine Foundation combines clinical excellence with compassionate care to train spine specialists who will improve global spine health.
Expanding Access to Spine Care
The Spine Foundation is committed to making specialized spine care accessible to all. Our Fellowship Program trains surgeons not only in advanced skills at Mumbai’s top hospitals but also through rotations in community hospitals and outreach programs. This exposure helps fellows understand the financial and geographic challenges faced by underserved populations.
By working within multidisciplinary teams, fellows develop practical solutions such as telemedicine and mobile clinics. Beyond surgical excellence, the program instills a strong commitment to equity and advocacy, preparing surgeons to ensure quality spine care reaches those who need it most.
The Spine Foundation knows specialized spine care remains out of reach for many—and we are committed to bridging that gap. Our Fellowship Program goes beyond traditional training by cultivating surgeons dedicated to health equity. Fellows sharpen their surgical skills at Mumbai’s leading hospitals and rotate through community hospitals to participate in outreach. This training helps them directly understand the challenges faced by impoverished communities, from financial constraints to geographic barriers.
In this immersive experience, fellows gain a deep understanding of the obstacles faced by underserved populations. They learn to work innovatively within multidisciplinary teams to create practical solutions, such as telemedicine or mobile clinics, to overcome these barriers. The Spine Foundation places a strong emphasis on inclusive practice and community involvement, shaping fellows into not only excellent surgeons but also passionate advocates for healthcare access, ensuring that everyone in need of spine care receives quality treatment.
The Spine Foundation’s Fellowship Program is dedicated to advancing medical expertise and research in spinal health. It offers comprehensive training and hands-on experience to medical professionals, enhancing their skills in diagnosing and treating spinal disorders. By fostering a community of knowledgeable specialists, the Foundation aims to improve patient outcomes and contribute to the broader field of spinal care. Through this program, The Spine Foundation underscores its commitment to both education and excellence in spine health management.
